Brooks Koepka goes on epic run at Oakmont, major record in sight

June 19, 2016

Though entering the final round of the U.S. Open at six over, Brooks Koepka is tearing Oakmont Country Club apart. Following bogeys on two of his first three holes, Koepka recorded four birdies in a row.

After another birdie on nine, Koepka made the turn at three-under 32, and started off the back nine with an exclamation point. On the 472-yard par 4, Koepka hit his approach shot perfectly into the slope of the green, trickling down right into the cup for an eagle.

But that wasn't enough for Koepka. He chipped in for birdie on the 11th hole, and is now eight under through his last eight holes.

Johnny Miller, watch your back!
