“Champions Golf Course is now owned and operated by the City of Columbus and has been for a while. It began in 1922 as a 9 hole course designed by Herbert Strong. In 1948, Robert Trent Jones, Sr. redesigned it into an 18 hole private course (Winding Hollow). It is not the longest course, but it is a really great layout and you would be hard pressed to find a classic RTJ course that you can play for about $40."

“A former RTJones country club built in the early '50's taken over by the city 25 years ago. Lovely layout and easy to see in your mind what it once was. Maintenance is just not good."
