One golf fan is giving away their 2025 Masters tickets to a lucky X follower—here’s how to enter

It’s Masters lottery season, that fabled time of year when golf fans across the globe find out if they’re one the blessed few selected to attend the following spring’s Masters. For most, the answer is a resounding “no,” but some, like X user @VanityHandicap, are more fortunate … A LOT more fortunate.
On Monday, “Van Handy” announced that they had won the 2025 Masters lottery, earning two tickets to Friday’s second round. In a shocking plot twist, however, they aren’t planning to keep the tickets. Instead, they have decided to give them away to one lucky follower on X, and the process to enter couldn’t be simpler. Run don’t walk, folks.
Sorry Bill Gates, this is true philanthropy. All you have to do to throw your name in the ring is like or retweet Van Handy’s post and follow them on X before August 1st at 10 a.m. EST. Even a dangerously stoned cart attendant could figure that out.
Van Handy says the reason they’re giving away the tickets is that they’ve been to the Masters several times and are ready to spread the wealth to others. The tickets will be completely free of charge and Van Handy will work directly with the winner throughout the ticket-transfer process.
As always when dealing with the strangers on the internet, approach this with a healthy amount of caution. If they start asking for your social security number, get the hell out of there. But for now, this appears to be a golfer trying to do a good thing for other golfers, and we can absolutely get behind that … even if we don’t win.
