Billy Horschel somehow first golfer on 3M Open range after trek from Scotland to Minnesota

It’s been a tough time for traveling lately. Delta’s recent flight delays and cancellations have been so bad that there’s now an investigation. The CrowdStrike outage grounded thousands of scheduled takeoffs. And sometimes, they don’t give you those delectable Biscoff cookies that have become synonymous with air travel. Despite all of these grievances, Billy Horschel made it from Scotland to Minnesota faster than you can say TPC Twin Cities.
Despite an exhausting Open Sunday in which he started with the lead and finished the day T-2, Billy Ho promised that he would be at the 3M Open … and he arrived with plenty of time. In fact, he was so early that he was the first pro on the range on Tuesday.
The above photos from the PGA Tour’s Charlie Kane show Horschel, caddie Micah Fugitt and his renowned West Ham bag all by themselves on the 3M Open practice range. The eight-time PGA Tour winner and his trusty looper are truly grinders.
The two flew back on Monday, right after the challenging Royal Troon finish, and are looking to keep the solid play going for the second-to-last regular-season PGA Tour event. The 37-year-old even posted his inner turmoil that continued during the flight right after his runner-up finish.
“A long flight from Scotland, had a lot of time to think about yesterday, to read all the support … thank you guys for all your support. Truly means a lot to me. It was a fun week.
“But for me, disappointed, I think it hit me on the plane how close I was to winning a major, the opportunity I had, but we get back on the horse. We’ll play well this week, we’ll work hard to get better so the next time I have an opportunity to win a major, hopefully, we can capitalize on it and be the one holding the trophy at the end.”
