Billy Horschel witnesses his wife make a hole-in-one, proves missing the cut can be a good thing

June 26, 2023

Billy Horschel has been open about his recent struggles on the golf course. Apparently, his wife isn't having the same problems.

The seven-time PGA Tour winner missed the cut this past week at the Travelers Championship, shooting over par both days at TPC River Highlands. Which, if you watched how the tournament played out with a 68.4 scoring verage, is, well, not good.

But not playing the weekend at the Travelers turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Because Billy played on Sunday with his wife, Brittany, instead. And she did this:

Yep, a hole-in-one. These guys gals are good, too.

And not just any hole-in-one. A 4-hybrid? From 190? On the ninth hole at the Country Club of Fairfield? That's Golf Digest's No. 3-ranked course in the state of Connecticut.

Like her hubby, Brittany also played college golf at the University of Florida so she's a stick. She says in the video that it's her second hole-in-one. And who knows? Maybe it's also exactly what Billy needed to get his own game back on track.

Keegan Bradley played mini golf with his kids last Sunday after missing the cut at the U.S. Open and look how he did this week. Regardless, congrats to Brittany. And please, don't toss that golf ball away.
