Golfer wins member-guest with miraculous hole-in-one, entire club goes wild

July 23, 2024

We’re smack-dab in the middle of summer, which means one thing and one thing only: Chaotic member-guest celebrations. It’s a genre all its own, as golf courses across this great nation host club members, friends, colleagues and ringers all jockeying to win their much-ballyhooed local tournaments.

With this annual tradition comes a flood of content, ranging from fights to the occasional mind-boggling walk-off. Thankfully, what we have here is the latter, with a golfer at Olympic Hills in Eden Prairie, Minnesota reportedly winning the whole kit and caboodle with one of the most dramatic aces you will ever see.

The shot lands right behind the green and slowly but surely starts to roll back to the pin. It takes a while to get there, which only boosts the anticipation and eventual explosion. It even waits an extra second hanging on the edge of the cup before finally falling.

From the jumping fans to the hurled beverages and the nonstop hugs in between, this is like a real-life Reniassance painting. We’re sure the @ArtButSports account would have a hell of a historical reference to use here.

This is probably the best day of this man’s life, unless he has kids or whatever. A hole-in-one to win a golf tournament. You couldn’t even dream this up. Well, you could, but even your subconscious would say it’s too good to be true.
