Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2024 3M Open

In the words of late Yankee legend Yogi Berra, it’s getting late early. Meaning, we’re still in July but now that the 3M Open is over, only one more event remains to secure spots for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, a lucrative series that everyone on the PGA Tour wants to secure.
Jhonattan Vegas admittedly did not have his best stuff on Sunday at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minn., but held on just enough to claim his first PGA Tour victory in seven years. He was even par on the day heading to the 18th hole and knew he needed birdie to win. His second shot found the green on the par 5 but he was 96 feet away. He lagged the eagle attempt to three feet and made that to win and beat Max Greyserman by one shot. Matt Kuchar and Maverick McNealy tied for third place.
Vegas, for his fourth win, earned $1.458 million from the overall $8.1 million purse. He also moved into the coveted top 70 in FedEx Cup standings. Greyserman collected $882,900.
Next week is an off week for the tour as the Olympic Men’s Competition is Aug. 1-4 outside Paris. The following week is the Wyndham Championship in North Carolina, the final regular-season event of the year.
