The Hot List favorites of an accomplished female player (in her own words)

Alejandra Bedoya is a 26-year-old 5-handicapper and a four-year Hot List panelist. A native of Colombia, Bedoya played collegiate golf at Loyola University New Orleans and now competes only sparingly. With a driver swing speed of 93 miles per hour, she plays a stiff shaft in her driver but regular flex in her irons. Here are her favorites through the bag from Hot List testing.

"Starting from the way it looks, I like the elegant matte finish. It sets up with a compact, smooth feeling before you even hit it. Easy to get up in the air and control the ball flight. Stays on the line where I was aiming. I found it very forgiving."

Fairway woods: TaylorMade Qi10 Tour
"One thing I cannot like about this is the thick line at the top of the grooves. Everything else about this club is perfect. Rewarding distance and easy to get in the air. The sound is muted without taking away the feeling of smoothness at impact."

Hybrid: TaylorMade Qi10
"Dear TaylorMade: Please send me this for Christmas. I loved it. It had a subtle noise at impact but loud enough to make you feel like it's a powerful shot. Very good distance and easy to control my baby draw."

Players irons: TaylorMade P770
"I'm looking for irons to replace what's in my bag. I think I found it. The way it looks very plain but still elegant. Very smooth on sound, almost a little too quiet. Height was consistently good and above average. Hard to miss, however whenever I did miss it, it was the same slight trail to the right. Loved the club."

"I like the looks, especially when holding the club. It was so easy to get it up in the air without sacrificing any distance. In fact, the higher lofts were getting me more distance. So forgiving that even my misses were going straight. I would put these clubs in my bag right now."

"I love this iron. So easy to hit. They all felt very smooth. Easy to control in the air. Only thing I'd like to see is more height. Still, it never sacrificed distance."

"Perfection. I loved the way everything worked together to get to do what I'm trying to do. I made nearly everything, but when I didn't, it was still a well-executed putt. The head has a shape where it looks like everything is heading straight to the hole."
