Masters 2021: Augusta National's take on "pigs in a blanket" probably wasn't what Dustin Johnson was envisioning

April 06, 2021

Dustin Johnson drew attention—and even acclaim—when he announced his Masters Champions Dinner would feature a very simple appetizer. Pigs in a blanket? At Augusta National? What a salty salt-of-the-earth tribute.

Turns out, the club's take on this classic is juuuust a tad different that what we (and probably DJ) were envisioning.

On Tuesday night, the Masters official Twitter handle shared several photos from the annual dinner at which the menu is determined by the defending champ. And we got a look at the bougiest pigs in a blanket we've ever seen. Have a look:

"Smoked Kielbasa in puff pastry"? Not exactly the little hot dogs you warm up in your microwave, huh?

That's not to say they don't look delicious. And we're sure that creole mustard sauce was banging as well. But yeah, that was a bit of a head fake.

Anyway, we're sure DJ and the boys had a great time, regardless. Plus, as Tiger Woods said earlier in the day—and Adam Scott told us earlier in the week—it's all about the booze anyway.
