Golf fans shout all sorts of crazy things at tournaments. We don’t know if it’s the anonymity that comes with being one Nike-polo-wearing guy in a sea of Nike-polo-wearing-guys or just the $15 beers, but you can expect to hear anything and everything on televised tee boxes across the globe. From the tired—"bababooey,” “mashed potatoes”—to the wired—Harry Potter chirps, “Lisan al-Gaib!,” whatever the hell this was—there’s no shortage of examples, but the Olympic fan who shouted Min Woo Lee’s catchphrase “Let him cook!” in the Frenchiest of French accents on Friday deserves to go down as one of the all-time greats. Sound way the heck up.

If this isn’t the soundbite of the 2024 Olympics when all is said and done, we’ll eat the random Powerbar that’s been in our bag since Gen Z was just a twinkle in God’s eye. Making the clip even better is the fact the Aussie smoked the flagstick like a brisket for a near ace. Put another shrimp on the barbie, mate!

We’re glad to see the crowd pulling for Chef Min Woo, as well. The Olympic rookie had rough opening round at Le Golf National on Thursday, finishing tied for dead last with a five-over 76. Thankfully he bounced back with a six-under round on Friday, elevating his performance from “garbage” to gourmet. If he can keep the grill hot through the weekend, he might just serve up a medal.
