The 18th-hole at TPC Harding Park.

If you like your golf tournaments to have crowded leader boards and endless storylines, you’re going to love Sunday at the PGA Championship. Dustin Johnson is the 54-hole leader at TPC Harding Park at nine under for the tournament, thanks to a five-under 65 on Saturday that included a double bogey. The 2016 U.S. Open winner is one-stroke ahead of Scottie Scheffler and Cameron Champ and two clear of Brooks Koepka, Collin Morikawa and Paul Casey.
Meanwhile, 19 players are within five strokes of the lead, all but insuring that Sunday’s final round could have plenty of fireworks to break up that marine layer likely hovering.
As you watch on Sunday, expect to see plenty of video clips from 10 years ago at the PGA, a baby-faced Johnson hitting a masterful approach shot from a waste-area on the 18th hole at Whistling Straits only to find out he grounded his club in a bunker and would not be part of a playoff. It was one of several heartbreaking major championship finished for DJ. He got some redemption by winning the U.S. Open at Oakmont, but a second major title would help round out a resume that includes 21 PGA Tour wins.
Johnson and Scheffler will be playing in the final twosome. Here’s a look at the rest of the pairings for Sunday’s final round.
