PGA Tour pro shares the badass flex Tiger Woods once made to get past British Open security

No matter how famous you are—or how good at golf you are—you will inevitably run into someone who has no clue who you are. And, often, that person is someone in a position of authority.
Just ask Scottie Scheffler, who while trying to get to his second round tee time at this year's PGA Championship was arrested by a detective completely oblivious to the fact he was slapping the cuffs on the World No. 1. Heck, even Jack Nicklaus once was stopped driving down Magnolia Lane by a Masters security guard. The only guy with six green jackets was given a big red light!
And now we have a similar story involving five-time Masters champ Tiger Woods. It comes from PGA Tour winner and Golf Twitter favorite Michael Kim, who told a tale of Tiger once forgetting his player's credential at the British Open—and finding a creative solution. Take it away, Michael!
Now that's a flex. It's the old "Do you know who I am?" but with a fun twist. Well played, Tiger.
Anyway, good for these security guards for taking their jobs that seriously. As we've seen with recent events, you can never be too careful. And it's a good reminder to all the players in the field at Royal Troon this week to remember to bring their credential to the course—especially if you're not famous enough to have a massive billboard of yourself there.
