2024 RBC Canadian Open tee times, TV coverage, viewer's guide

If this year’s RBC Canadian Open ends like it did last year, everyone will be happy. Well, everyone but Adam Hadwin. A down-to-the-wire tournament that ended with a sudden-death eagle by Nick Taylor on the par-5 18th was quickly followed by Hadwin rushing the green and getting flattened by a security guard. Play the tape!
Taylor became the first Canadian man to win a national open since Pat Fletcher in 1964, and the first Canadian in general since 2018 when Brooke Henderson won the CPKC Women’s Open in Saskatchewan. It didn’t come easily as Taylor needed a 72-foot eagle putt to defeat Tommy Fleetwood on the fourth playoff hole.
Taylor will, of course, be back this year to defend his country’s honor, but he’ll have to hold off other Canadians like Taylor Pendrith, Corey Conners, Adam Svensson, Adam Hadwin and Mackenzie Hughes. Among the other notables in the field at Hamilton Golf and Country Club outside Toronto are Rory McIlroy (winner there in 2019), Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, Tom Kim, Adam Scott, Robert MacIntyre and Nicolai Højgaard.
Canadians haven’t won the tournament in back-to-back years since Albert Murray and Karl Keffer in 1913 and 1914. We’ll find out soon enough if they can break that streak.
This week's winner will receive 500 FedEx Cup points and a $1.65 million cut of the $9.4 million purse.
TV Schedule
Golf Channel will carry live coverage on Thursday and Friday from 3-6 p.m. EDT. On Saturday, Golf Channel will start the coverage from 2:30-5:30 p.m. with CBS taking over with afternoon coverage from 5:30-7:30 p.m. On Sunday, Golf Channel will start the coverage from 1:30-2:30 p.m. with CBS taking over with afternoon coverage from 2:30-6:30 p.m.
Streaming Schedule
PGA Tour Live streaming coverage takes place on ESPN+ from 6:45 a.m.-7:30 p.m. from Thursday and Friday, and again Sunday. PGA Tour Live will have four different feeds, including two featured groups and a featured holes feed. On Saturday, PGA Tour Live streaming coverage runs 9:15 a.m.-7:30 p.m. On Sunday, it will air from 8:15 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
The Golf Channel broadcast from Thursday to Sunday will also stream on Peacock, while CBS' weekend coverage streams on Paramount+.
