No one celebrated Bob Mac's win harder than . . . Sahith Theegala?

Sahith Theegala's Sunday at the Scottish Open didn't quite go as planned, the 26-year-old shooting a one-under 69 to tie for fourth after beginning the day just four back. On a normal week, Theegala might have hightailed it out of there. On to the next.

The next in question this week is the Open Championship, which is also in Scotland at Royal Troon. Plus, the Renaissance Club doesn't seem like the worst place to hang out, so Theegala figured he'd stick around to watch the finish.

That wound up being the prudent move, as the finish featured an electric 3-3-3 closing stretch from Scotland's own Robert MacIntyre, who drained a 22-footer at the 72nd hole to capture the title he dreamed about as a young boy growing up in nearby Oban. As far as endings go, it was as storybook as it gets. And while the home crowd was incredibly excited, nobody was more pumped than Theegala, who was standing up on the balcony of the clubhouse watching the final putt drop. See if you can find him in the video below:

So good. If there were ever a time to simply fanboy out despite being a tour pro yourself, it would be in Scotland watching one of Scotland's own win the Scottish Open for the first time in more than two decades.

"That was sick," Theegala says. Yes, it most certainly was.
