Euro Tour Shenanigans

Team Europe's Twitter handle puts together funny tribute for Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington's 50th birthday

September 01, 2021

Padraig Harrington is a three-time major champ with six Ryder Cup appearances as a player to go along with 15 European Tour titles. In other words, he has a lot of impressive accomplishments you can count. But good luck counting how many times he's said a certain word through the years.

With Harrington turning 50 on Wednesday, Team Europe's Twitter handles put together a special tribute to the current Ryder Cup captain. And let's just say Paddy really, really likes to say, "Okay":

Hey, we all have our fallback phrases. And in Harrington's case, it's a fitting one. After all, this is a man who also won the ASAP Sports/Jim Murray Award for media cooperation—so, basically, for all the times he's said "okay" to an interview request.

Of course, Harrington handled the video in stride:

And we're not going to try to read too much into this ahead of the Ryder Cup later this month . . . but . . . there sure seems to be a lot of drama on the U.S. side. Meanwhile, for Europe? Things appear to be, well, okay.
