Ben Crenshaw took his final bows in the Masters on Friday, this his final competitive round at Augusta National, but aside from those he took after holing out on 18, one other stood out.

CBS' Verne Lundquist was manning his familiar perch in the tower at the 16th hole during ESPN's telecast of the second round, and when Crenshaw walked onto the green there, Lundquist paid tribute to an old friend.
"I first met Ben when he was a 13-year-old," Lundquist told the television audience. "His older sister Bonnie was a high school classmate of mine at Austin High School and I did a feature on him. Only 50 years ago.
"What a man. What a career," he added, his voice starting to crack.
When Crenshaw putted out for par, he turned to Lundquist in the tower, doffed his cap and pointed toward him.
"That's for you, Verne," CBS' Jim Nantz said.
"Loyal forever," Lundquist replied.
