The best looking new drivers, according to our Hot List testers

We all want our driver to perform. The look of a club, however, is often the first go-or-no-go decision golfers make. With that in mind we’ve compiled a list of the eight best-looking driver models as scored by our Golf Digest Hot List testers. We took the top five look scores (given before they even hit the club) for each player to create this list, locating the driver model used for each player via data captured by the Rapsodo MLM2 Pro launch monitor. The list below is in alphabetical order.

Player comments:

“It's a beautiful club, with the subtle blue and the marbling on the bottom. It's very groovy on the face. It feels like they slammed every bit of tech into it, but when you look down you don't see it.”— 0 handicap

“I like the blue hue to the carbon fiber at address—blue is a comforting color, and it's more unique in this carbon-fiber era. It really makes it stand out. I really like the design of the face, it's just visual enough and it draws my eye to the center.”—15 handicap

Player comments:

“I like the techy look on top. The contrast in color is helpful with the face and makes it easy to frame the ball. The alignment aid is simple, yet helpful.” —8 handicap

“I really liked the angles of the front part of the crown coming into the heel. It looks a bit bigger than most others, but for some reason, I found it easier to focus on the hitting area, a neat design element.”—15 handicap

Player comments:

“I love the head size and the crown design is excellent. The two-tone is subtle, not in your face. Even with the sunshine I’m OK with it. The relatively shallow face looks incredible at address.” —9 handicap

“A nice shape that sits square at address. The coloring is muted and the nice carbon fade adds an element of design without cluttering the club.”—0 handicap

Player comments:

“Aggressive winglet design on the crown makes for a very effective alignment tool. The graphics are understated and nice to look at, too.”—12 handicap

“The right amount of carbon fiber on top pairs up with the face nicely. All the angles line up directly to the ball.”—14 handicap

Player comments:

“I love the look, the simplicity of the matte finish. This is a case of less is more. PXG usually has a lot going on visually. This is the opposite. I like it.” —9 handicap

“The white rim and the matte black work together nicely. The X alignment aid is a clean look.”—12 handicap

Player comments:

“I really liked the matte finish—there's a quietness to the visuals that I really enjoy. It's powerful looking without being too bold about it.” —15 handicap

“Thought it was kind of a compact head compared to others. That said, it sets up nicely behind the ball and projects a large sweet spot. A sharp-looking club.”—1 handicap

Player comments:

“The shape is appealing. It’s modern looking without being distracting. The TwistFace is not noticeable, which is a plus. Sits well on the ground and square to the ball.”—0 handicap

“I like the red and black and the look of the carbon—it's just an aggressive-looking club; it brings me excitement to hit this.”—14 handicap

Player comments:

“It has a sleek, glossy look. Almost like a race car in the shape of a golf club. Everything screams fast and there’s nothing to stop it.”—8 handicap

“A clean look. The TSR alignment aid is subtle but useful. Nothing flashy about it but really effective.”—12 handicap
