Bohyun Park reacts after making the first hole-in-one in Augusta National Women's Amateur history on Thursday.

Four years on from the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur, it’s getting harder and harder to record a “first” in this prestigious event. But South Korea’s Bohyun Park found a way to do just that on Thursday during the second round of the 2023 ANWA.

With one sweet swing on the par-3 eighth hole at Champions Retreat, the University of Texas sophomore became the first player to make a hole-in-one in tournament history.

The ace was part of a up-and-down round that saw Park making five birdies and five bogeys along with the 1 en route to a two-under 70.

Park sits tied for ninth at one-under 143 after two rounds, easily moving on to the final round on Saturday at Augusta National Golf Club. However, she’ll need a heck of a finish to catch 36-hole leader Rose Zhang, who Park trails by 12 shots.
