Jordan Spieth can beat you at a closest to the pin competition by skipping his ball over water

By PGA Tour standards, Jordan Spieth is a short hitter. And while he's known for his long-drain dexterity on the greens, short putts can occasionally give the 22-year-old fits.

So with these seemingly-deadly flaws, how is Spieth one of the game's best? Simple: the man works magic with his irons.

The Texan ranks among the tour leaders in various approach categories, including proximity to the hole from the rough and shots from 50-125 yards.

How good is Spieth with his irons? Good enough to skip it across a pond and stick it at the East Lake Golf Club practice range on Sunday:

Spieth entered the final round of the Tour Championship with a one-shot lead over Henrik Stenson.
