In an interesting piece on Golf.com, writer Sean Zak details the story of a Houston nonprofit store discovering the famed article of clothing in a donations box. The item was traced to the 1960s, and validated by Hamilton Tailoring Company, the official manufacturer of the green jackets.

According to the nonprofit, it has sold the hidden treasure. While not releasing the selling price, an auction site told Zak the green jacket could garner as much as $50,000 on the open market.

That sound you hear is every golf nut running to their nearest Goodwill.
