Watch Jack Nicklaus come THIS close to a hole-in-one

"Some emotions cannot be endured with a golf club in your hands," Bobby Jones said. Famous for his tantrums as a young player, Jones would be the one to know.

This doesn't qualify as an outburst, but rarely do we see Jack Nicklaus throw his clubs in disgust. Then again, we usually don't see the Golden Bear get robbed of a hole-in-one:

Given Nicklaus' revered résumé, we don't think an almost ace at the PGA Tour Champions' Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf will keep him up at night. (Although the event was chalked with stars, as Nicklaus was joined by Tom Watson and Gary Player at Big Cedar Lodge. The two-man tournament was won by Woody Austin and Michael Allen.)

That said, anyone who's seen a hole-in-one come THAT close knows there's a tad of pain behind Nicklaus' faux club throw.
