Watch Jim Furyk come agonizingly close to a hole-in-one

We often comment on Jim Furyk's unique swing, but what's usually ignored is what that swing produces. Throughout his storied career, the 2003 U.S. Open winner has been one of the best ball-strikers in the game. Even with an injury-shortened 2016, this held true: Furyk ranked 8th in proximity to the hole. Hey, you don't shoot 58 simply off a hot putter.

Furyk's pin-seeking prowess was on full display in Sea Island on Thursday, as the 46 year old came agonizingly close to a hole-in-one:

Dagger. Still, not the worst of efforts from 210 yards away.
